Christina Steinbrecher-Pfandt is an art executive leader working in the industry for more than a decade.
She was most recently the executive director of viennacontemporary—an annual art fair in Austria that specializes in contemporary art from central and eastern Europe—through the 2018 edition. In 2018, Apollo magazine named her 40 Under 40 in Europe. She currently resides in San Francisco working on her start-up, blockchain.art with co-founder Micha Benoliel.
Steinbrecher-Pfandt is an expert on the art markets and contemporary art of the Central and Eastern European region. As executive director in the art fair circuit for ten years, she spearheaded viennacontemporary for seven years, she sought out to bridge the gap between city and the art world as well as increase the knowledge of Eastern European artists in the world.
