BIO

For over 30 years, Gerbarg has been creating artworks using traditional art techniques with digital technologies. Her formalist approach to abstract color field painting reflects her classical training at the New York Studio School of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture. Her works range in size from intimate viscosity etchings and silkscreen prints, to wall size paintings. Gerbarg was an adjunct professor, faculty member and consultant at NYU, School of Visual Arts, New York State University at Stony Brook, and other universities from 1980-2010.

Gerbarg’s art has been exhibited and is represented in museums and corporate collections including: the Victoria and Albert Museum; Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris; Everson Museum, Syracuse; Contemporary Art Center, Cincinnati; Miami Art Museum; Siemens; Polaroid; Sierra Federal; Formica; Smithsonian Institution; IBM Gallery of Science and Art; Arnolfini Gallery, Bristol; “artware” Kunst und Elektronik, Dusseldorf; SIGGRAPH. She currently has work at Mark Borghi Gallery.
