BIOGRAPHY
Born out of the perfect storm of quarantine, empty streets, and isolated time in the gif archives of Instagram during the global COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Brickolage frankensteins skewed photos and videos of deserted urban fixtures with a changing band of open-sourced biomorphic characters into hallucinatory vignettes. Creating life and high jinks where you may least expect it.
Clancy Philbrick, the Jekyll to Dr. Brickolage's Hyde, is a multimedia project-based artist that mixes personal expression with participatory social schematics aimed at public revelation. His work has been exhibited across the United States and internationally. Select works have been published in or featured on BBC, New York Magazine, Playboy, HuffPost, and Ethiopian TV.
