Bio

Canadian Brooklyn based artist, "(coded) light paintings". His main project: THE BUSHWICK LIGHTBOX.

Jason is a good example of the "coexistence" of physical and digital and a perfect bridge for looking at paintings in the present and future time. His hybrid artworks are made of LEDs - of which patterns and appearance change based on coding (the actual art is coded, generative patterns) - positioned behind paper and covered in mylar film sandwiched between two pieces of plexiglass. All of this in a wooden box.

"Instead of applying paint to the canvas from the front, he applies light on canvas from behind. Instead of painting with subtractive light, he paints with additive light".
