Bio

Nathan’s current digital work explores the emerging medium of “virtual painting”. Beginning with still images and photogrammetry models he paints thousands of gestural brush strokes to create detailed sculptural formations and environments. Nathan is represented in Seattle by Woodside/Braseth Gallery. His work has been reviewed in Art in America and has been the recipient of a Pollock Krasner Foundation Grant.

Series of 5 giclee prints mounted in lightbox frames. These images are stills of digital sculptures created in virtual reality. Additionally, videos displaying rotational and panning movement through the sculptures in virtual space will be overlaid onto the artworks using the Artivive AR app. Visitors will be able to quickly download the free app and view the videos using their cell phones.
