This is from my ongoing Abstract Animations series. I was a hippie in London at the end of the 60s and experienced some original psychedelic light shows. This is influencing my animations for collectors to enjoy on their phones, tablets or other nft screens: a new media connection to the visual surprises of psychedelia.

Robert Richardson works in various visual media: text art; graphic art; photography; video art, installations and video installations. Since 2014, he has been producing a portfolio of abstract digital artworks, making some available as limited edition prints and others as NFTs. In 2022, he exhibited video art at Digital Art Month Paris. For many years, he was a Principal Lecturer in Communication at a British university, and now works independently as a visual artist and writer.

Situations that are parallel to each other from a blue snake household to a meditating monk. From a moonlight sky to an pond inside a trumpet. We humans have become so advanced that we tend to seek for nature whereas the irony is that this planet was never manmade. Philosophy says that the reason why we don't see other species across the universe is the distance or it could be that they became so technologically advanced that they went extinct. Makes me ponder that we are on the verge of extinction or are just getting started to become a multi planet species.

Duality is inevitable. We can stand by the edge of an abyss for as long as we want to, or we can choose light. Both will be there anyway, yet the former will help us appreciate the latter.
