About
Experiential artist duo Dejha Ti and Ania Catherine discuss their art and technology “dos and don’ts”. From their perspective as artists with fluency in these two languages—that don’t often meet meaningfully—they contextualize their practice in relation to E.A.T Experiments in Art and Technology (1966) and within the current era of technical acrobats, interactive lasers, and digital art museums on every corner. Their latest museum exhibition ‘On View’ (commissioned by the SCAD Museum of Art) is detailed as an illustrative example of art and technology not in appropriation, but in conversation. In a nod to ubiquitous computing, the exhibition’s seemingly organic environment conceptually and technically integrates facial recognition, audience-reactive kinetics, and environmental sensors.)
