As seen in the New York Times and Smithsonian Magazine, the events will showcase digital and new media art by local and international artists

CADAF (the Contemporary and Digital Art Fair) is coming to Paris to showcase a wide range of digital and new media art through Digital Art Month, CADAF Online, and in person special events in collaboration with Beaux Arts & Cie, the leading cultural media and services group in France. After successful fairs in Miami and New York, CADAF is excited to present its first fair and public digital art festival in Europe.

Digital Art Month will kick off in Paris June 1st 2021. This month-long event presents curated exhibitions of Augmented Reality artworks placed in public locations across the city. In the times of social distancing, this festival brings the creative community and audience together via an experiential visual celebration. Through five parts of the city (Champs Elysées, Marais, Trocadéro, Saint-Germain and Villette), the public will be able to discover nearly a hundred works of art accessible through QR codes, as well as several video works visible on public screens. These artworks  will be placed in public locations including a selection of local parisian shops that will showcase QR codes on their windows. Our partner Vélib’ Métropole, Paris’ main public bike sharing system, is supporting the event with augmented reality artworks installed on several dozen bike stations and a special bike route art tour mapped across Paris from Buttes-Chaumont to Pantin. Several major cultural institutions in Paris including the Monnaie de Paris will also host augmented reality works in their outdoor spaces. Thanks to our partner, Clear Channel, CADAF will also broadcast works of video art in public spaces on digital screens in shopping centers, with nearly 3,000 digital screens in total.

CADAF is also excited to announce CADAF Online, a virtual edition of the Crypto and Digital Art Fair, that will take place from June 17th-23rd. The online fair will allow visitors to view works by local and international artists on a proprietary interactive platform. Staying true to CADAF’s vision, visitors will be able to enter the highly social platform for free, and explore a variety of digital art, from Video, Blockchain art, Artificial Intelligence and more. In addition to exploring art, participants will be able to interact with exhibitors, chat with other visitors, and engage with CADAF’s cultural programming, including livestreams of talks and discussion panels.

Digital Art Month and CADAF Online both coincide with VivaTech, Europe’s largest technology conference dedicated to innovation and start-ups, which will be held in Paris from June 16th-19th. This year, CADAF  will have a 100 square meter booth at VivaTech to show a selection of digital art, from immersive video art to NFTs. Each year, VivaTech brings the biggest enterprises, startups, investors, and thinkers in tech to Paris. This will give exhibitors the opportunity to showcase their work to some of the world’s most respected technology professionals.

CADAF Paris is made possible by the support of our sponsors, major actors in the art and tech sector: The Sandbox (lead sponsor), Blackdove, Blockparty, and Infinite Objects.
